A Sound Of Thunder - Response

I enjoyed this story, it has suspense and i love themes that have to do with altering or visiting the past. I had a question though, did everyone become stupid because he killed a butterfly? What the hell. I guess its the little things that make the big difference. All in all i enjoyed the story and how it helped me vision the scene.

SOMETHING INTERESTING ABOUT THE BOOK I'M READING

In my opinion the book I am reading is full of interesting moments but the most interesting thing to me is the fact that it takes place in the future. 2020 I believe. the young kid goes on adventures tryng to solve a very strange mystery. sometimes i get confused too. but i love stories that make me think. well i guess that's it

RESPECT MY AUTHORITY

I believe i am effected differently by different authorities because some keep you in check and the other lets me be myself. I prefer the one that lets me be my self because they incourage me to open up and that really helps my learning. The tough ones help me to understand that there are times where I must be serious and think more on the right thing to do, other than what I would prefer to do.

The debate between Hilary Clinton and Donald Trump was quite a site. They bagged on each other saying what the other has done wrong. Hilary was pretty calm but Trump kept trying to make her look bad. My favorite part was when Trump said that hes been all over with his campaign and Hilary has stayed home. Then she says" I'm sorry, i was preparing to be president." this was pretty cool because every one in the crowd was clapping and cheering. So far Hilary has my vote

I've earned a "B" on my essay and i feel that I've earned it. I've done most of my work and feel it is quality  work.i feel i should have arond a 'B'

The plot of the novel was for nate to break all the rules.
 The theme was funny and sad sometimes.
I feel the author wakes up late, is lazy, likes cereal during the day and doesnt exercise.
In the story the author used similies, metephores, personification,foreshadowing, and alusion. he uses these to give the readers a better understanding of the characters and mood.

Today in class we had a few minutes after class. Dr. Preston had gave us this time to work on useful activities, so I studied my vocabulary. This has helped me prepare for our upcoming test. I'm glad I did so.

young goodman brown questions

1. Hawthorne's purpose was to show the reader that sometimes things aren't what they seem.
2.  Brown has faith in her. He loves her much and her name suits her. She is faithful
3. The pink ribbons signify faith, or cancer.
4. Everything Brown witnessed was all real, a figment of his imagination, and something conjured by evil. No one else seen it, but it was there. He could not explain it, but it happened. The world will never know
5. The old man really is the devil. In the story it says that the witch calls him the devil.
6. The staff represent temptation. It shows you something and it lures you in. It showed Brown the truth and make him more and more interested/involved.
7. If Brown had not ventured into the forest, he would have faith in his wife and townspeople, because he would have never learned that many of the people he loved, had been friends with the devil.

Response to Young Goodman Brown

Goodman is a man that is a little strange. By the names of the characters name's in the story, it shows a small glimpse of a average mans thoughts. Goodman checks with his faith before goes out in the dark. He also leaves his Faith. Faith is the name of his wife. Some times we leave our faith and we fear that you cannot accomplish anything. We must believe in all things. We shape the future.

Responce to Conscience of a Hacker

The story we read (Conscience of a Hacker), was quit interesting. It should a perspective of hacking that isn't common or normally thought about. It explained how he came to hacking. And honestly it kind of gets you feeling that hacking isn't all that bad. I like how he defends himself. It was deep

BONUS "?Qstn?"

I read a well known old story from 1850 and then I compared it to "Earth On Turtle's Back" . This well known story was  "The Masque of the Red Death." It wasn't really the same. I mean both authors had an amazing imagination, but genre wise, they were completely different. The red death was about DEATH,  were Turtles Back was about peace and creation. I liked both stories because it give a side from both perspectives. The happy side. And the dark side!

Our now a-day speech is kind of similar in a way to the way the author of "Earth on Turtles Back" writes , because they don't use big fancy words. Were reverting cave men. however we are kinda different because obviously we don't talk about those kinds of topics, like fairly tales. We think that there useless and lame, so we forget about our imagination and try to become what others like. we spend our time reading post about how people think about us and it distracts us from thinking about what were gonna be and instead makes us focus on where we are now. Well forgetting all that useless crap.....my next point is that we should read more stories and tell them to our friends family. By memorizing stories, poems, books and stuff, helps us think more and increase our knowledge .It also helps us find different ways to do thinks. Well it depends what you read. But if you do memorize these things, its good to memorize them correctly because if you pass them down generation, eventually some one will jack it all up and your go from pulling your cousin out of the pool because he didn't want to leave to - saving him and his family from a shark at a beach in Mexico.
